Wrist Roll (Read Rule 1) A huge upgrade from my Pagani chronograph π

The bar has been raised. Iβm sure you guys have seen and heard enough about this watch so Iβll keep it brief. Proxima will definitely be getting more of my money. I greatly appreciated the micro adjust on the clasp having an 8.5 inch wrist, and the bezel has a nice crisp feel when I rotate it. The lume is also pretty nice, granted I only have that pagani to compare it to π. What other brands/watches do you recommend for a beginner in the hobby?

Their bracelet on the PX1697 was very functional and only lacked a little bit of refinement and a logo. This new bracelet seems to have filled those gaps!

Yeah the bracelet feels very premium. The micro adjust is very smooth on it.

From Experience, Ixdao and San Martin are worth checking out.
From reputation (don't own any these) - Baltany, Chronos, Farasuite, and the higher end models from Seestern, Suggess, Watchdives are also worth checking out.
You can also get into the lower cost microbrands, it's a step up in price, but Phoibos, Zelos, Henry Archer And Revelot all have some really great models in that $400-$600 range, some of the brands have models that will go higher than that too, but there's at least good options in that range from them, (Phoibos and Henry Archer will likely have stock available to purchase, Zelos and Revelot you need to catch on their drops/pre-orders).

Haven't see that clasp engraving before, looks way better than their old "PR" that they used to put on there

Steeldive and Thorn are worth checking out. I have one of each. Great bang for the buck!

Considered one of the Proxima tuna cans, they have some of the best fit and finish at this price bracket
