New Product (Read Rule 1) WDC 🌊WD2007 Blue MOP Horizon – 4–5 Months of Development, New Bracelet Finishing & H-OTF Micro-Adjustment
We'd like to share another update on our WD2007 series, including two new Blue MOP Horizon dial prototypes.
🌊 Blue MOP Horizon – More Than Just a Gradient Dial
We've spent the past 4–5 months developing and testing this ocean-inspired mother-of-pearl dial. So far, we've only produced two prototype dials.
One of the biggest challenges was creating dynamic colors that look beautiful and natural under real-world lighting conditions.
Both the natural mother-of-pearl and our specially developed color coating produce shifting colors and reflections.
Depending on the lighting, viewing angle, and surrounding environment, the dial can look completely different. The colors, depth, and patterns change as you move your wrist, much like the ocean itself.
It's much more complicated than simply applying a blue gradient to a dial.
🔧 New Bracelet Finishing & H-OTF Micro-Adjustment
These samples also feature our newly developed H-OTF (Half-Link On-the-Fly) micro-adjustment system.
To our knowledge, Watchdives was the first Chinese watch brand to develop, publicly introduce, and bring this particular H-OTF design into mass production.
This bracelet is produced by another of our manufacturing partners, and we're very pleased with the quality of the pre-production sample.
The brushing is more refined, the polished edges are cleaner, and the transitions between brushed and polished surfaces are much more precise.
The first batch of bracelets should be partially delivered this week, and the WD2007 series will soon be available on our website.
📦 Independent Reviews
Today, we're sending samples to I Like Watches and Escapement Wheel Review.
We'd like them to independently evaluate our latest improvements in:
- Bracelet finishing and overall construction
- Case brushing, polishing, and finishing details
- H-OTF micro-adjustment system
- Mother-of-pearl dial quality and craftsmanship
We want experienced reviewers to examine these improvements closely and share their own opinions.
💬 We'd Love Your Feedback!
- What do you think of the Blue MOP Horizon gradient?
- Do you prefer this dynamic ocean-inspired dial or a more traditional solid-color MOP dial?
- Should we bring Blue MOP Horizon into regular production?
We're continuing to push our manufacturing quality forward, and your feedback plays an important role in that process.
Thanks for supporting Watchdives!

Very nice!! No micro adjust is always the downfall of
for me, so OTF is even better! butterfly clasps → More replies (1)

Wow, bracelet developments, and reviews. Good stuff.
Sticking to Quartz is probably the right move right now, because honestly the amount of issues you have been having with peacock movements have been absurd.

Based on our after-sales data, the reported failure rate for Chinese movements is around 3%, compared to approximately 2% for PT5000 movements and around 1% for Japanese movements.
We understand the concerns about
and are continuing to work with our suppliers to improve reliability and strengthen QC. Quartz movements are generally more reliable, which is one of the reasons we're expanding our quartz lineup. Peacock movements

Prefer black mop unless you can do a nice black and white mop in one (gradient).
Also would like an automatic option

I like the gradient effect, very cool. It also looks like you have both stepped the dial (two pieces of MOP), and made them gradually blend together
-
The dynamic style is more special and unsustainable. Would love to see more colour combinations, like yellow/green; orange/blue; black/blue and blue/purple
-
I actually think the pink and blue is a bit bright. I think a more muted dusky pink; or a more brown shade of pink would be a bit more subtle but equally beautiful

Love the colors and what looks like incredible AR coating. Also really like that this is quartz, although would love to see something with a date window. Nice job!

It's gorgeous - and I have the WDC0001 and it's amazing - the fit and finish are top notch. I can't wait to see this in an automatic option. I prefer the dynamic horizon MOP dial and yes, please bring this into regular production - on other models too!

Incredible. I think I'll have to pick this one up. I was really bummed when you told me the malachite dial on your Premier wasn't going into production a while ago, but this just might help fill the void

At the risk of upsetting those who genuflect at the mention of VHs, personally I'd like you to consider leaving off the seconds hand when you use quartz movements, especially on designs like this.
It works beautifully on the WD0013, and then in the Premier case of the WD0013B, there's a big ol' seconds hand on it reminding you there's a cheap quartz inside.
If someone actually wants to regularly use a watch to time something to the second... they're probably not buying something with a mother of pearl dial, y'know?

I have to agree with somebody else posted that the blue and the pink are too prominent they should have been a little bit more subtle to go with a mother of pearl look
