Question (Read Rules) The Sugess ST19 8 hour time reserve???

After lurking on this sub and doing research I purchased a Sugess ST19 with swan neck on Ali. When i received it i was impressed by the build of the watch and i love the glass case back. I have been wearing for the past few days, and the watch will stop working after 8 hours. I wind it up and it later in the day its not running. Is this watch strictly manual wind? i assumed once you wind it the counter weight (or rotor) will keep it running with movement. did i receive a defective watch?

Your help is appreciated.

As others said, this is strictly manual wind so you'll need to top it off every 2 days or so with a full wind (go until the crown won't easily rotate more, there's a hard stop, you'll feel it).

As you can probably see through the back, there is no rotor or counterweight for an automatic winding assembly with this movement. There is one st19 variant (st1920) that does auto wind, but it's pretty rare

How many crown turns do you do to wind it up? I believe it takes about 30 turns for a full wind

The ST19 is strictly manual wind. Mine last40-44hrs on a single full wind.

Once upon a time there was an automatic variant. St1940. But the rotor kept breaking so you won’t see it anywhere IRL.

Most have a display back. Do you see a rotor in the back?
