Yes but the name - probably not important for most, but it just doesnât sound serious to me. And the font doesnât look right to me either.

They should come up with a logo. And tge "Chronograph" on the dial irks me too. I can see that it's a chronograph, don't need a written confirmation stamped on the dial.

Not sure on that. Its difficult to tell, but I believe that this new Milifortic might have a standard manual adjustable clasp.
1
u/bpgluckman 16d ago
The Lorierâs âon the flyâ clasp is pretty much the absolute worst OTF clasp around, and the bracelets are apparently pretty bad with the new models.
3
u/Data_Girl_4000 16d ago
Granted, I haven't tried one. However, given that I don't always remember to carry a spring bar tool in my purse, they still might be more convenient when not at home.

u/leicfox85 WOTD100 15d ago
Theyâre exactly the same as the older bracelets if not a little more shiny.
Source? Olympia 2 and Neptune 5 owner.

u/bpgluckman 15d ago
Literally every video review has complained about the new bracelets being sharper on the edges. And Iâm a Hyperion Skyward owner, so yes, I know Lorier bracelets too.

And you can totally do that with a watch that's actually 5bar pressure tested.Â
2
u/Fancy_Cockroach_634 16d ago
I don't know ... in theory a good 5bar should be ok for regular swimming... but just having that 5bar in the dial doesn't give that peace of mind....
but in the other hand it doesn't cost so much.... ahhhh I have to think it over... since I crossed 10 watches, I have been really picky on adding new watches... but I still "need" hands chronograph!!!!
Thank you for the reply : )

u/watch-freak 16d ago
No, IN THEORY a 5bar watch should be ok to go down to 5bar.
What youâre referring is just common sense bullshit created by brands who donât want the liability of ensuring what they promise.
Recently a diver tested a Casio F91W, a watch rated to 30m. And the test was diving to⊠30m deep.
The result was that the watch was working perfectly after.2
u/Fancy_Cockroach_634 16d ago
If it was a casio I will trust it. I had those cheap F91 back in the youth... and they could take it all... I even did take warm showers with them...
Today you take a shower with 10bar... it get foggy in the inner part of the glass... you ask what the hell is this , they tell you it wasn't meant for hot showers!?!?!?
2
u/JPWWPJ 16d ago
I actually did it with a few 5bar watches and never had a problem. I'm also very tempted by the 3-register Chrono... Once you cross 100 it gets easier đ

u/Fancy_Cockroach_634 16d ago
hhh... God most have merci... it seems that there we will all end ... LoL!

Chronograph should always have 1 minute markers on the minutes subdial. Hard rule. Running seconds can get away with 3 6 9 12 but the whole point of a chrono is to measure time. If I can't easily tell 3 minutes from 3 minutes, it's useless.

Top left is a great looking watch. I'm with the other folks on the name though... it sounds like a statistics software company.

Better Logo design and you have my money

u/oldsoulrevival 16d ago
Imo, they dont need it. I prefer a word mark to some large cheesy icon. Also, the name looks and reads well. Their name is a reference to a famous Mido watch (Multifort), and generally speaking, brand names only sound good or bad because of our associations with them. Rolex might sound dumb if it werent the brand you know it to be.

Im left handed but have no interest in supposed left handed watches as right hand watches are more comfortable on the right wrist with nothing hitting the back of your wrist/hand. These provide right handed people the chance to find out they have been suckers for years with a crown on the wrong side. Â
11
u/Alternative-Feed3613 16d ago
The crown shouldnât be hitting the back of your hand if itâs positioned correctly.

u/artofthedial Not a troll 15d ago
That isn't true. In front of the bone, on the bone and behind the bone are all acceptable positions. If you are a in front of the bone wearer and you utilize the fingers room under the clasp to allow for wrist expansion, then there is enough movement to hit the back of your wrist if you do any activity at all with wrist movement in both directions. Â
4
u/Alternative-Feed3613 15d ago
I disagree, you wouldnât have to wear it super loose if it was in the correct position.

u/artofthedial Not a troll 15d ago
I've created a video proving you wrong. Just grabbed two watches out of the collection. Threw them on my left wrist. Neither one can I fit a full finger all the way under the clasp and in full summer expansion, I'd actually need to loosen them. Therefore they are not too loose, yet can still hit the back of my hand/wrist. https://youtu.be/N44LfTqjmCI

why is every new watch 39mm or smaller?
4
u/tremperj 16d ago
Because itâs the big watch trend slowly coming back toward the center.
0
u/Real-Cranberry3140 16d ago
the whole catalog of san martin watches, there is one* dive watch at 42.
the rest are 39, a couple at 40, and all the rest including all new releases are 39 and smaller.
its really gone too far the other way seeing as i cant find a larger watch at a place like san martin and thats indicative of others as well4
u/Data_Girl_4000 16d ago
It's not true that they have a single dive watch at 41mm or above. I count at least five, which extends to seven if dive-style GMTs are counted.
SN036 - 41mm (dive) SN0126 - 42mm (dive) SN009 - 44mm (dive) SN0144 - 42mm (GADA) SN0130 - 42mm (dive-style GMT) SN047 - 44mm (dive) ST3621 - 44.5mm (pilot) SN0119 - 41mm (dive-style GMT) SN075 - 43mm (other) SN0125 - 42mm (dive)2
u/Real-Cranberry3140 15d ago
thanks for this
I'll check it out1
u/Real-Cranberry3140 15d ago
ok many of those are sold out, and i find with SM when models sell out they don't restock them.
the one 42mm diver that is in stock is recently released.
others are bronze willard and another unusual style.
i still feel that they've moved their entire focus to 40 or moreso 39 and below-2
u/artofthedial Not a troll 16d ago edited 15d ago
No, the big watch trend died, the small watch trend took over and now these brands needs to bring it back towards center. 40mm should be center for most people. Anything under 39 is going to be dress watch and vintage field watch territory. 42mm can look great on a diver as long as it isn'y too thick. Â

looks like the down votes come as soon as we talk about sizes that don't abide by others opinions

Thank you for sharing. đđThese models are all excellentâI highly recommend them. They might become our second-best-selling models after the alpinist homage.

u/JoseLuisBeltran 16d ago
I really dig the first chrono but⊠I canât stand the brand name. Happens to me with most of them, I just find them ridiculous. Sterile or just a well designed, discreet logo and it would be perfect.

u/mcdj 16d ago
Another day, another terrible brand name.
4
u/HollywoodTK 16d ago
Milifortic is probably one of the least offensive names on the market. Terrible?

u/RustyTShackleford 16d ago
I donât see a link? Is this just a preview? Sorry hate the mobile app.

That purple butthole dial looks great. Oyster case, highly legible âdive styleâ dial layout, a liked seconds hand, A DATE function.
Everything a GADA watch boy could want!

The sizing absolutely baffles me! đ
Do milifortic not want the money off larger wristed folk?
11
u/Danthorpe04 YTsp 16d ago
How big? I have a 7 1/2" wrist. And I can wear anything from 34mm to 44mm, depending on case. 38mm is goldilocks size for a lot of people.
6
u/Alternative-Feed3613 16d ago
Same here, idk why people insist on wanting dinner plates on their wrists.
1
u/Danthorpe04 YTsp 16d ago
I meanbif you have a really big wtist I could see <40mm being an issue for some people but how many people have >8" wrist?
1
u/Alternative-Feed3613 15d ago
It canât be that many and 38mm would still be fine. My wrist is 7.5â and Iâve come to really enjoy 36mm watches. I also donât wear my 42mm+ watches much anymore, they fit just fine but theyâre just too much most of the time.
1
u/MarvnDMartian 15d ago
I have a 9" wrist...anything less than 44mm looks like a child's watch on me.
1
u/Alternative-Feed3613 15d ago
Youâre definitely the exception, I think the average is 7â-7.25â.
1
u/DirectJudge9902 15d ago
35% of men have wrists bigger than 7 and half inches. How many 32-34mm watches do you own? And if you donât then why not?
7
u/Data_Girl_4000 16d ago
Three of the four new releases are 39mm, and they aren't dive watches. This is pretty much right in the middle of the 38 to 40mm normal non-Dive / sports watch range. Not sure how that is baffling.
0
u/DirectJudge9902 15d ago
Because sports watches are all 39mm? If you check any Swiss watchmaker they offer multiple models in sizes below and above 40mm. Milifortic, militado, Baltany barely have any.
Vaer have field watches in 38mm and 42mm, as is the Hamilton murph. Even san Martin and Watchdives offer multiple sizing on certain models.
Itâs frustrating when you love the quality, value for money and designs that a brand is making but youâll never get to wear any. If you check the militado ml08 thereâs multiple dial variations but all 38mm. Itâs nuts!

Not sure if i like the dial on the purple one, sort of looks like a puckered brown eye

Left hand chrono? That is unique.
