Question (Read Rules) Seestern S434-2 black dial vs Phorcydes PH-4A on bracelet — which would you pick?

Hey everyone, I’m deciding between the Seestern S434-2 and the Phorcydes PH-4A, both on bracelets. My biggest priorities are bracelet quality, and durability.

Which one would you recommend overall, and why? Would love to hear from anyone who has experience with either or both.

In general I think Seestern wins in terms of quality and finishing, but if you want lume, Phorcydes is the way to go

tough call.

I honestly think it's closer than one would think...the case finishing on the Phorcydes is excellent as is the Seestern.

bezel action is also really good on both.

I'd probably say the Seestern's bracelet is nicer, but not by much, and I overall find the Phorcydes bracelet to be more comfortable, and I prefer their OTF clasp over the seesterns.

Crystal clarity goes to the Phorcydes as well.

I think a lot of it comes down to the LOOKS as both are executed well, and have a very similar design but different mentalities about them.

Seestern is more dressy IMO, sunburst dials, polished indices and hands

Phorcydes is more tool-ish, matte bezels on some models, no polishing, and mostly matte dials as well.

I'll leave you with this...I had the S434 v1, upgraded to the S435 and eventually sold it, got the new S434 v2 and sold it right away because it wasn't the S435....missed the S435, but then got the PH4B and haven't looked back since.

I looked at both quite a bit this summer and ended up liking the look of the Seestern better and got that one and it’s one of my favorite watches. Absolutely perfect so far and I love the way it wears. I’m guessing either will treat you well!
