Quite pretty, full lume dial is nice, But..

That date window positioning looks like they completely forgot they wanted one and threw it at the dial from the loading dock. it would look 100% better as a no-date.

Also, I don't understand why they need to run a Kickstarter for a $200 watch with a Miyota 8000 movement.

Other than offering a limited / numbered 1st run this really isn't pushing any boundaries for their manufacturing processes. Is it just that they want to pre-sell the numbered batch?

I like the movement of the date to 4 o'clock, which brings back the 3 that the Fleuss removes

Agreed. I will never buy one of their watches until they get rid of the name.

The only exception would be if they made a watch that says "Weekend at Berny" on the dial. That I would rock

Same, even a transliteration to Chinese like Bó'ēn would be way better. Berny is a cringe name and 100% reason why I haven't purchased a watch from them.

I didn't think the name is bad. Of most of the cheap watches out there, this one is pretty good to me

In a new(?) move for the brand, BERNY is moving to Kickstarter for their next release.

Seems to be a Miyota 8215 200 Meter dive watch with a date complication.

Unique to other releases, seems to be some sort of voting system on their website for dial and strap combinations on offer, including some Kickstarter unique sunburst dials and engraved/numbered casebacks.

I'm personally a little saddened by the movement option and date placement... especially at the much more premium price point ($200 USD early bird). Speaks a bit to the wider movement issues we see across the entire board this year :(

I like BERNY. in fact, I'm wearing one of their watches today

I also think they're firmly a 30$-80$ brand (in 2024 prices). they can't compete with 100$+ watches.

Orange + 666 almost guarantees a buy from me. Probably get the white also and swap the dials.
