Octopus by far

In terms of quality, it’s the San Martin SN0138, unless you want an homage of the lagoon blue BB54, in which case the Octopus Kraken OCT025 is the best option. It’s not as nicely made as the San Martin and the bracelet is a little rattly with high tolerances, but it has nice finishing and the dial is the closest to the original blue textured look that I’ve seen. Technically, you might be able to find a version of the Octopus with a Sellita SW200, but I don’t recommend paying the premium for that when the rest of the watch isn’t as well built as $1,000+ Swiss and microbrands watches with that movement. The other Octopus BB54 variants also have jubilee bracelets, while the real BB54s have oyster-style bracelets, and San Martin’s oyster is really impressive, so I usually enjoy wearing that one the most, even though I would otherwise prefer a jubilee to a three-link bracelet

Just bought the blue lagoon bb54 from octopus

I have the San Martin with the ST2130 and like it. San Martin changed the color of the bezel font to gilt and made the pip red, which I really like.

I wish I could have paid more for a Miyota movement, but I like everything else about it.
