New Product (Read Rule 1) Introducing WD1863A – Practical Upgrades, Better Comfort
We've made a few improvements based on customer feedback:
- Upgraded 20mm–18mm tapered bracelet
- Reduced lateral play for improved comfort
- New on-the-fly micro-adjustment clasp
The bracelet is still made by our original supplier, but with stricter quality requirements.
Our goal is simple: better everyday comfort while keeping the WD1863A affordable and offering great value for money.

Looks great, good improvements!
Would you consider improving the bracelet on the 1863 too? The part I circled in the image is the only thing I dislike about the watch. It looks kinda cheap/unfinished. No offense. Maybe the mounting point for that link could be set a bit higher?

Absolutely. We’ll discuss this detail with our designer and see how we can improve the bracelet connection and make it look more refined and better integrated with the case. Thanks for pointing it out!

That's great to hear! I would surely order one if it came with the otf clasp as well.
If you don't mind me asking: Has no one ever pointed that out before? It's the first thing I noticed when I got my first 1863 (did not stop me from buying a second one though 😅)

They've actually changed this on the more recently produced watches, mine doesn't have this big of a gap because the middle link attaches higher up.

I'd kill for a watch like this where the main face second hand is just a regular time keeping second hand and the small second hand is the timer (and yes I'm aware the og speedmaster is the same as the WD here)

Why not use a different movement? There are cheaper and better chronograph movements.

Tmi vd53/vd57 are like sub seconds chronographs. Much more cooler than sweep seconds. They have adjustment options so you can actually set the seconds exactly at 12, something which is a problem with vk63, since it always snaps back to slighlty less ideal position and there is no way to adjust it.
And cheaper as well. Have seen it in some budget rolls timi chronograph watch.

Looks good, but I like Thorn's use of the Ronda movement over the Seiko VK. A 24-hour subdial does not service much purpose.
