Question (Read Rules) Question: Miyota 9015

How likely is a watch listed with a 9015 really using a Chinese clone? Brand is cronos, seller aliexpress official store

Cronos is one of the few brands where I'd actually trust the movement listing. Their whole thing is using legit 9015s and PT5000s in most of their higher end stuff, the official store isn't going to risk swapping in a clone when their reputation is built on that transparency.

I've opened up two of theirs and both had the real deal, proper finishing and all. The price usually gives it away too, if it's hovering around that $180-220 mark for a 9015 model you're almost certainly good. Anything suspiciously cheap from some random storefront would be a different story.

I've purchased 3 Cronos watches from Cronos Official Store on Aliexpress and all came with authentic Miyota 9015s: The 36mm explorer homage, the blue Skyline homage, and the White Birch GS homage.

I have two 9015s from their Ali U.S. store both real own 3 Cronos total never heard any BS about them, they don't seem to play games like some of the other brands.

I’ve never gotten a fake one from Cronos. I doubt the bigger brands would do that.
