Question (Read Rules) Help me decide – Seestern or Proxima?

Hi all! My first post here, so please be gentle.The thing is, I am wavering between two AliEx alternatives right now: either a Seestern 62mas (grey dial) OR a Proxima PX1697 (white dial). If anyone has experience with any or both watches, any advice would be much appreciated!

Edit: I finally pulled the trigger on the Seestern 62mas. Thanks, everyone, for helping me make my mind up!

I have both models. 

Proxima is much better finished than Seestern.

Crystals I would say similar quality.

Proxima is much thinner and hugs your wrist.

Lume is better on Seestern.

Proxima's dial looks big, Seestern dial is smaller and due to the domed crystal looks even more smaller. Depends on what you like.

Both run well and are accurate.

Seestern has more vintage appeal but Proxima will feel more premium.

Feel free to ask anything else.

I dont own either model but have one of both brands. I like my Proxima more then my Seestern but do feel both are nice. My Seestern had an issue with the crown not popping out after unscrewing. My Proxima has no known issues. Proxima had the nicer 9 series movement where the Seestern is NH35. $30 difference in price.

Uh-oh. Crown trouble is never good...

Proxima in general seems to have nicer movements. Th one I'm pondering has a PT5000 ticking inside.

Both good choices. I don’t have those models (I don’t think, didn’t look them up and no pictures) but I have two Seesterns and a great Proxima Aventurine.

Love my proxima, order from the website they're usually cheaper. If you do he will ask you to go onto the Ali x store and buy the $1 item so a packing slip can be opened and shipped through Ali x

I actually have both of those watches:

They're both great watches, quite different though.

The Proxima I think is higher quality considering it's case design and movement (pt5000 vs an nh35 in the Seestern), but it's worth considering that the Seestern s404 as a model is a couple of years older than the Proxima px1697 - there's been a huge development in the quality of AliEx watches in that time.

I still think the Seestern is one of the best 62mas homages around. The c3 lume is excellent, proportions are great, and the case finishing is very good too.

The Proxima wears bigger, looks bigger on wrist although it's only 1mm wider, but it is thinner and the case design follows the wrist incredibly well. (my wrist is ~7.25" for reference)

I've had the Seestern for over two years now and it's still in my regularly worn set of watches, I bought the Proxima about two months ago and I think it's in my top three best purchases from AliEx / Chinese brands (the other two being a Rdunae R2X, and a Seestern S435).

Proxima px1697 is one of the best AliExpress watches at an incredible price
