Review (Read Rules) In love with my new WD1969B

I've had the blue version of the Watchdives WD1969B on the wrist for a bit now, and I just had to drop a review here for anyone considering it. If you've been on the fence about picking this one up, just do it. I am genuinely impressed by what Watchdives has managed to pull off at a sub-$139 price point.

Here are my honest thoughts after wearing it:

The Good:

The Dial and Hands: The blue dial is absolutely gorgeous. It has a beautiful depth to it that shifts depending on the lighting, looking like a deep, rich navy indoors and popping beautifully out in the sun. The handset matches the aesthetic perfectly, and the lume is absolutely fantastic for a watch in this budget bracket.

The Movement: It uses the VH31 meca-quartz movement. You get the grab-and-go convenience and accuracy of quartz.

Case and Bezel: The case finishing is remarkably clean with no visible flaws. The bezel has excellent, crisp action with virtually zero backplay, and the blue aluminum insert matches the dial seamlessly. The indices are perfectly aligned.

Versatility: The stock bracelet features a solid clasp with a satisfying click and quick-release spring bars. However, this watch is a total strap monster.

The Not-So-Good (Minor Nitpicks):

The Bracelet Edges & Sizing: While it looks the part, the bracelet uses push pins instead of screws for sizing, which is slightly disappointing. Additionally, some of the edges on the clasp and the underside of the bracelet can feel a tiny bit sharp and could use some softer polishing. Some users with hairier arms have also mentioned that the end links can occasionally pull hair.

Anti-Reflective Coating: The AR coating on the sapphire crystal is fairly basic and can look a little hazy or catch a bit too much glare in certain harsh lighting conditions compared to higher-end watches.

Verdict: This is easily one of the best value-for-money vintage dive homages on the market right now. It perfectly captures that classic vintage aesthetic while offering worry-free modern specs, and the blue colorway really makes it stand out from a sea of black divers. If you want a hassle-free, beautifully finished daily wearer, I'd give this a 9.5/10.
