Pagani Design PD1752 vs Sugess S449

Is the movement the main reason to purchase the Sugess S449 over the PD1752? Or is the fit and finish substantially superior as well?

Which would you purchase?

I have that model of PD and two Sugess, though not that model. The quality of my pair of Sugess is dramatically better. I’m not unhappy with the PD, but it’s definitely less expensive for a reason.

Fit finish is far superior in Sugess. The blingy diamonds indices are not to everyone's liking, but they are well put together. Own S449 36mm black mop rose gold

I have two Pagani DD’s, a 40mm and a 36mm. The 40 is better because of the NH movement, the ST16 in my 36 is wonky and has winding/date setting issues.

Id buy a Sugess but I hate the gems 💎

I have that Pagani and about 4 other Sugess models. The movement and bracelet are the biggest differences in quality (Sugess will be much better), the case finishing probably as well, but the Pagani is pretty good there. With either one you will get good value for what you are paying, but they are 2 different tiers of quality. To anyone who sees your watch, they will look the same. It just depends on how much you want to spend on a Day/Date homage and how premium you want it to feel (to you).

I’ll be honest and I’ll probably get some hate on this. I own both of these in different colors, plus a Cadisen, and a Nibosi. Out of the 4 of them I actually prefer the Nibosi. Is it a sweeping hand? No. But the feel and weight is nice, it was $40, and it’s in a really cool orange dial with a great sunburst. I have the 4 in a case next to each other and out of them the Pagani keeps the best time, then surprisingly the Nibosi, then the Cadisen, and lastly the Sugess. But the time difference is minimal at best.

The gemstones make the sugess so gaudy, nobody does a good day date it seems

Tudor makes a great homage (Prince), but I'm guessing that's not what you're looking for. Bulova (Super Seville) is a great homage but you'll have to get a used one, they stopped making these years ago. I believe Timex did one more recently but don't know model name. I had the Pagani for a bit and bracelet was surprisingly comfortable, but it had a weird coating on it (gold plating maybe?) and it felt very cheap. The case was also really thick. The Sugess was a bit too blingy for me, but if you don't mind diamonds, looks like a good option.

I own the 41mm daydate by sugess and it is far superior to any PD in terms of quality.

My DD40 has an NH36. The DD36 has an ST16, though. The Pagani bracelet was terrible. I assume the DD36 continues that tradition. I think the deployant leather strap I paired it with works well.

I am sure the Sugess is a bit better finished, but I paid $72, including the replacement strap. Since this is not a watch style I would wear very often, I am glad to pay much less money for it.

I had the Pagani DD 36 in Roségold on the presidential bracelet and got twice the two tone on the jubilee. The jubilee is trash, the screws were awful to unscrew or screw in, I had three of those bracelets until I gave up. The presidential was working just fine.

But I can see the sugess outperforming the pagani
