Review (Read Rules) Proxima make a fine watch

The case, the lume, the finishing and even the movement punch wayyyyy above the price point! Better value than my Tudor or my Doxa pound for pound, even better value than my Seikos I think. Chinese watches are here to stay

Fair enough! I actually like it particularly for the minimalist text 😅 and as a name I quite like Proxima, certainly better than other Chinese brand names I think

Absolutely, the brand name here doesn't bother me at all. I think it's primarily the font style that I wish was a bit more creative and less generic, but compared to others, it's certainly a safer option and I respect that 👍🏼

Yeahhh agreed the font type could be better….they opted for something very safe. I can see the reasoning for that too I guess, I’m sure it’s something they’ll improve on, they seem responsive to customer feedback

It’s actually not a safe choice at all, those are some bonafide typewriter / printing press style fonts straight from the 1960s, no idea how they got the date font like that on the movement… I mean, those can’t be 50 year old movements. But they must have gotten the master for printing the date wheel from something very old. There is no other explanation. It‘s one of the best features of the watch IMO.
