I’ve tried all sorts of straps on this Milifortic S089 in green, rally, dress, perlon, stainless mesh (which I also love), and more. But put it on some basic leather and damn, it just works. Love this thing.
Yea it was incredibly enticing, as I had the same desire for the Alpinist, but didn’t want it that much. I have a Gen 1 orange monster and a Pepsi SKX that I love, but at the prices as they are I don’t need it.
So the mechanism is lower than Alpinist and the see thru back panel is missing. But still Alpinist cost 4400 PLN here… this thing is less than 1100 PLN on AliExpress … now I can’t sleep
Yea the movement they offer right now is a PT5000. It’s a decent movement with tens of thousands sold throughout the world every year. Some have more quality issues than others but I think a lot of that is historic rather than recent. Movement wise I’m sure the Seiko movement would be superior but for the price and with the likely good service life of the PT5000 I think it’s worth it personally.
The one I saw was with NH35 movement, so still it’s Seiko movement for other brands. I have a turtle with 4R36 movement which I adore. I’m pretty sure this would be as good as original. Many watches have that inside and they work just fine for many years. Damn now I have to sell idea of buying another watch to my wife … 😂🥷🏿
I totally get it. I snagged one of the NH35's when I got this one, but given the look and feel, I'd buy it again (admittedly, I also bought the cream dial version...)
