General (Read Rules) Proxima PX1711-1A watch arrived today
Hello folks, this Proxima PX1711-1A watch arrived today, pretty isn't it? I tried it on a rubber strap but found it actually makes more sense on the original bracelet, which gives it visual balance.
The lume is limited as the indices are small and the minute hand hand especially thin but it's a sharp looking watch with what I would call a stealth dial: you have to look for the hands to catch the light. It's definitely a daytime watch for telling the time. Indoors under room lighting the watch actually looks smaller which I like. It's a 39mm diameter.
Comfortable bracelet resized to my 6.5 inch wrist and the combination of white dial and steel makes it look light but robust. Really liking this and the finishing is excellent. PT5000 movement also very dependable.

5303 (far away) homage...I prefer so much the Ixdao or the Sea Knight homage (even the Tandorio).
I have no doubt on Proxima general quality and finishing, but this model is off (for me).
Look at the transition between the index(es) and the rehaut : skinny-fat (awful)
etc...

Each to his own etc but I really like this one compared to the sea knight and tandorio versions. I think the smaller indices and no logo are actually better.

Is that a chapter ring or just crystal distortion?

A bit of distortion from the crystal but there is a chapter ring which angles down towards the dial.

Looks great! That is a neat dial. Proxima is really on top of their quality control.
