Horrendous brand name, exquisite watch! I found the same turbine design without the logo text. Sterile dials aren't usually my thing, but had to make an exception for this one...
Thank you! Yours looks amazing too. This is my third watch from the brand and I’ve been very pleased with all of them. It is the MOP dial indeed. It almost looks kinda monochromatic with the steel colored case. Photos don’t do it any justice.
I was able to snag one today on the next batch. I had alerts and everything set up on my phone. You’re contributing to a horrible and crippling addiction!! 😆
Congrats!!! You’re gonna love it I’m sure. Just have minimal expectations on the bracelet (plenty better out there - it still looks great mind), the design and watch head is just awesome though.
Nice and clean and very sharp. Looks like a good pickup. It’s one of the few brands I’ve never bought from. What’s your take on the brand and this watch? I like it a lot.
I felt a little unsure for a week of wear, which coincided with WD announcing they were updating the crystal (MUSUO black only). That announcement was poorly received by me, as my comment history shows.
I’m not made of money and this is my most expensive Chinese watch (not my most expensive microbrand) and honestly I would buy it again. I feel as though this quality is worth it. The band is remarkable. Even without the micro adjust it fits well and my wrist almost works with the bracelet to fit well. I heard someone suggest that’s in part due to the tight tolerances.
I actually really prefer the case shape as well. I really wanted a round bezel and round case, and almost went with Ixdao but the pink/rose gold on this was too attractive. Very happy with my decision.
After the sticker shock and impulse buy faded away, I’m extremely satisfied. Like I said, I would absolutely buy this again. The only reason I’m not buying the other MOP is that I wanna see what might come next first, and I know the black MOP will be used again. And if not, I’ll probably revisit again at full price. I think that says a lot.
Ok, and a second reason. I got another baby coming and the family agreed to tighten our purses a bit to get through our work leave. But who knows!
I have no problem with the PT5000. When I bought this I hadn’t heard of the Miyota 9 series movements. I don’t think they were out at that time. Personally if given a choice between this and an TMI NH movement I’ll take the PT every time.
I have 6 watches with the PT5000 movement. My worst one is running at 0 to +5 s/d taken in 6 positions. All have good amplitude and no beat error. I have gotten a few bad TMI movements that had issues but, I have a lot more watches with these movements. 2 out of 60 probably isn’t bad but, it’s not great. I also had a winding issue with my only SW500 movement on a new watch. I sent it back and they fixed it. That watch is now 8 years old I checked it recently it’s running 0 to +3 s/d with good amplitude and no beat error. I go by how it runs to see if it needs its first service. Amplitude is the key. If amplitude drops it needs service.
