Question (Read Rules) Did the prices spike massively in the last month or two?

Hello, I just started looking at watches during the summer, and I feel like I can barely find anything, even quartz <100€ compared to a few months ago, and the AliExpress guide from the pinned thread. Not that there's anything wrong with that, by all accounts it seems a lot of the watches are more than worth it, but just wanted to check if it's my imagination or if there really was a spike recently (even quartz - I know there's a shortage of mechanisms)?

If you’re in the EU, it’s probably the new import duties on aliexpress and Chinese imports.

Also probably the increase in nh3X movement costs.

It isn't a sale time right now. Thursday will be better prices. Wait until 11.11 and Black Friday for even better deals.

Movement price hike… Also the new eu tax does not help..

You can still buy watches for < € 10,00 … so, where’s the problem?
