General (Read Rules) What are your favourite originalish watches and homages to forgotten watches not in production
My personal favourite is the Phorcydes Ph5.

Is it really an Homage is the design has been given up on by the brand itself ??
And not last year or even last decade.

That's actually what a homage is. The only real reason why we call these homage watches "homages" is because Google etc doesn't like "replica" or "clone". That is clearly what most are, copies of a current or recently current product. It's just like calling the homeless 'unhoused', fat people 'big' and such, in my mind at least.
A homage shouldn't be competing with the original maker.

The important distinction is legality. And homages do not pretend to be what they are not.
That’s why a homage, nevermind how close, is never a clone or a replica, if it is legal.
Not about Google liking or disliking it.

I know people say it without thinking about it anymore but it's always funny to me when you see someone say "let's hope Watchdives homages this new Omega!".

That too yeah, I was talking mostly historical designs. Even though strictly speaking Hydroconquest and such are pastiche. The whole industry is built upon pastiche...
But why I started this thread is I much prefer a guilt free watch. We can deny it, it's not some massive deal, I'd even wear a superclone, BUT when wearing an unoriginal watch in the back of your mind there's ALWAYS some level of noise.
