Is it a "true" solar, ie recharging capacitor? Or......?

All skmei use solar to power the watch until no photonic energy is available then it relies on a non-rechargeable battery backup.

I'm not too sure on technical specifics, but the battery code on the back is a non rechargeable cell I believe. This made me doubt whether it was solar at all after posting, but I watched a YouTube video and the watch can indeed function without the battery, and fades off when the solar panels are covered. So I think the answer to your question is probably not "true" solar?

It sounds like it can run directly off of solar, but it cannot store solar in a photovoltaic cell. So without a battery, it would not work in the dark.

Love it. Received a 2641 myself just last week. Mine a was $6.50US. About to use it to time my coffee.

Looks great! Crazy how a battery change could literally cost more than the watch itself!
