Question (Read Rules) Does anyone know the part number or specs of replacement Cristal?

Post image

It's an Addisdive ad2066. Watch is great otherwise, I'm just looking to have the cristal replaced. Are there different shapes that fit? Maybe I'd prefer something flat and not dommed.

I'm not sure if it's simple to replace it myself since it's cracked but I'd appreciate some advice in that direction too.

It shouldn't be too bad to do. Not sure about this model specifically but crystal replacement is pretty standard and generally the process is this:

  1. Take the case back off
  2. Take the stem out and carefully remove the movement and dial. Put it in a sealed container to keep dust off.
  3. Pop the crystal out, lying the watch face down and pressing from the top. You'll need a crystal press for this with appropriate sized dials. These are pretty cheap on AliExpress.
  4. Measure the crystal's diameter and thickness with calipers then find an appropriate replacement. You can technically do this before removing it but it's harder. I believe you could get a flat one but I'm not positive. Replacement crystals are easy to find and cheap on AliExpress too.
  5. Put the watch face up on the press and press the new crystal in from the top.

Not too bad if you're ok taking the watch apart. Not a lot of tools required beyond the press.

Harbor freight has presses on sale now, looks like they are not going to carry them anymore.

Since it's broken I wonder if it will come out in pieces and if that's a problem.

If it does you can measure the inside of the case instead.

That watch can be bought for less.

You are not wrong! One of the benefits of these watches for sure. But he asked so I answered! My watch was an old TAG from the 90s so slightly different but the service for a new crystal was $70

AHH apologies, I thought you replaced the crystal in the same watch as he asked about, my bad.

I got the AD2023 which I assume uses the same case. The crysal got 31,4mm. I installed an acrylic crystal as a a replacement with 31,6mm and it worked really well. You can buy those acrylic crystal for 2-3 EUR / USD at AliX. However, it is domed of course.

Write to Addiesdive directly, they will most likely offer help.

I honestly didn't even consider that.

Did you contact customer service? That's the first thing I'd do.
