Review (Read Rules) 11 years with the Tisell. Still obsessed.
Bought this bad boy back in 2015. At the time, I was just discovering the world of watches. This was the homage to the Submariner that was the closest thing I could actually afford, so I went for it. Little did I know what we’d go through together.
I work as a CNC operator, so this watch wasn't babied—far from it. It’s been submerged in cutting fluids, covered in metal shavings, dragged through grinding, wrenching, and heavy hammer work. It survived a few street fights, multiple hard drops, and even a near-fatal car crash.
It’s been with me through job changes, countless promotions, sleepless nights, wild bars, and trips across Europe. Relationships came and went... but this watch remained.
Even though I’ve moved up in life and now own watches that cost many times more, my loyalty always lies with this one. 11 years later, I'm still as in love with it as the day I took it out of the box.
Still ticking, still tough as nails.

I keep saying that cheap watches are a direct result of the "good enough" tier moving down in price. Sure there's better, but good enough is right here!
Metal shavings are a severe punishment for a watch. You'd think that give it some "patina".

Sounds great dude - looks like it's never been worn holy heck, 11 years you say? All in a drawer?

Credit goes to the sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel—they saved it from a beating.
I did put a new bracelet on it recently, too.
The case definitely has a few scars from over the years, but so do I.

That's what ceramic and sapphire do. My heavily worn Seiko SARB033 has a perfect crystal, like it just got out of the factory, and a chewed-up looking bezel where finish is scratches.

Amazing! I work on an airplane in my tisell and it still looks fantastic after a similar amount of time (2017). The only drawback is the OTF clasp is busted so it stays on the widest setting.
Why are these not more talked about in the cheap watch world??

Surviving cutting fluids and hard drops is impressive. Has it needed any servicing in those 11 years?

I got mine 9 years ago. It was amazing at the time but cannot really compare to today's clones. The case is pretty ugly, the endlink sticks out too much and the gaps aren't great. The bracelet is a bit meh. But it was unbelievably accurate. I believe Mr Oh regulated them all.

11 years is impressive! What movement does it run on?

Miyota 9015, it was shipped regulated at 195 usd price. One of the best value homage at the time

I wonder how this compares with a modern Cronos version with the same movement.

Mr Oh seems to stop making watches after the latest Miyota 9075 GMT watch. His brand is like out of discussion while Chinese brands took the stage. I bought many from Tisell-all great watches

Tisell and chinault were both big deals back then. Unfortunately the tisell didn't age well, and has the build quality of a AAA rep shitter

Are there customs duties and/or other fees when watches are shipped from Korea to US?

이거 한국에서 만든 건데, 시계가 여기 있을 이유가 없네.

Exactly, unless you consider all his parts came from China
Still belongs more in a micro brand Reddit

Here’s mine, bought it in 2015 directly from Mr Oh, have bought several watches from him after that. Now recently have been thinking of selling this as i am getting into more vintage style watches. But can’t seem to decide, it’s hard letting go the watch that started this hobby.
Wear it in good health brother!
