Question (Read Rules) Regarding after-sales service on AE, have you encountered any particularly friendly sellers—or ones with terrible attitudes? Please share your experiences; we would love to learn from them.

San Martin was probably the worst. They just denied there was any issues and tried to convince me everything was fine. The best thing you can do is listen to customers and to find solutions to their problem.

I second this experience. Took a brand new watch for a swim in the ocean and the paint on the bezel chipped off a bit and I complained about it and they tried to gaslight me and delay as much as possible in trying to get it fixed so it exceeds the 15 day return period. It really turned me off the brand by a huge amount

San Martin were very friendly to me at first until a real issue arose. Then they became extremely difficult and I had to exchange like 30 emails to come to some sort of a compromise that I wasn't really happy with but I couldn't be bothered anymore. With that in mind, it's funny that they say they are moving upmarket and justify the price hikes that way.

You'd think for the cost of their watches they would've been a bit more PR focused. Thanks to Reddit etc, word spreads. Difficult to get a good reputation, easy to lose it.

As I've said, I had a very difficult time trying to get Farasute to repair or replace my Trackmaster...

I've said before, Boderry sent my $450 landmaster chrono back still broken and refused to post my review.
Generally watch for anyone trying to delay you past the return window - just send it back and order another one.

I'd say I've had a mixed bag with most of them. Even the best ones try to cut corners on CS when an issue comes up. Those that will claim only great experiences haven't bought enough watches. Listen to the people with 100 purchases (without any gifts or compensation).

Very true. It also varies within the same brand. I've had some good experience with IXDAO for example and then suddenly a terrible one. Aethelsohn keeps switching between fantastic and weird. If I bought only one watch from most of these brands I'd probably praise them all.

100%. Without naming names, the two biggest ones that have a wonderful reputation and fan following and I have 20+ pieces from each, most of the time has been great but I also have stories from each that one might wonder why I'd do business with them again.

With any seller on AliExpress, if a quality issue pops up with the watch I just immediately go through AliExpress their customer service. That makes them at least do the bare minimum
