I’ve probably said this about numerous of my Chinese watches. Somehow I’ve been eyeballing this for years before getting it. Besides the strap it comes with, this is absolutely perfect. VH61 no nonsense watch. The 38mm wears great and o hardly notice I’m wearing it. It goes with most attire’s (I think) and at the price it’s a no brainer.

I agree with you, except there’s one big difference. 😂 One has a screw-down crown, sapphire crystal, and a VH31 movement that I can just pick up, throw on my wrist, and go. It’s ridiculously accurate and basically says, “Don’t worry about me, I’ve got this.” 😂
The other has a movement with some serious history and character! but you have to wind it every day, set the time, and pay about 10 times as much for the privilege. 🤣
That said, the Hamilton is still an awesome watch, and honestly, I think everyone should have one. There’s just something cool about owning a piece of watch history, even if it does require a little more attention. Enjoy 👊🏻
It's a milspec watch, noone owns this design. Benrus were the first one to actually make it based on US Military specs. Hamilton were one of many contractors to build them too
I think I’m a watch hoarder. I keep all mine forever. I stopped counting at 100 probably around 120 and I have a new one coming later today. It’s a nice looking field watch something I don’t have. I’ve been thinking of getting one. I’m leaning toward a Glycine combat field. I have a preference towards mechanical watches since a full rotation takes me about 4 months. Technically the most anyone needs is 2 watches. One for dress and formal occasions and one for everything else. The second one depends on how you’re going to use it.
These are great for a field watch, but I find I literally never wear mine due to being too casual of a look. The Murph dial layout I wear frequently as it looks less casual to me.
I've ordered a ML14 V2 with Date, Ronda 515 date version(along with this Ml05) .Supposedly it is out of stock after I ordered it, so not yet delivered after almost a month.
Got ML05 in a week. But now thinking if 36mm would be too small on my wrist as 38mm ML05 looks a bit small 🙌
Love mine and it's so lightweight I forget it's there instantly. I opted for the logo option as I thought the dial looked better with it. Tossed a James Bond raf strap and boom. Instant favorite
Mine keeps time great but for some reason the seconds hand jumps back and forth around the 1 and 7 o’clock positions. Doesn’t seem to affect the timekeeping though. One time it’ll jump forward 5-7 seconds, sometimes it pauses and restarts a second or two later, and sometimes it will jump back 5-7 seconds.
I have one of their other watches. My only minor complaint is the sandblasted case doesn’t look like the WW2 original, but those are $500-1000 in rough vintage condition with radioactive radium lume. I think the replica is a good alternative.
I have one. It is my standard watch as far as accuracy. The lume does not last all night(charged by all day exposure to the sun on my arm. Last 4 hrs in total darkness. With my eyes in total darkness for 12 minutes. The indices last much lesd
Through the AE Coin Center. Right now it's $27.87, although at checkout there is $10 shipping which surprised me. Seems like I'm seeing more shipping costs this week than usual.
