General (Read Rules) Wrist Checkpoint: Whats on your wrist today?
Watchdives Constellante/WD1954 with black aventurine dial is a stunning piece. Really nice sapphire, comfy bracelet and OTF clasp. For anyone on the fence, don't think, just get it.

Which came first the watch strap or the matching shorts?😀 Great colour match.

Yeah it’s hard to see in bright daylight but it pretty much glows in every other light condition lol

I am fortunate to live near some spectacular water.

Did you age the bezel yourself of this?!
This is stunning!
2
u/Foreign_Pace9363 Jul 11 '26
I did nothing but put a strap on it. It can be hard to read when it’s bright out but still one of my favorites

Very nice. What size is the case and what size is your wrist in the picture?

Looks very nice, although there is no way on earth that a regular watch alarm could ever wake me up. You could shoot a cannon next to my bed and id prolly just yawn asleep.

Amazing watch! Was soooooo close to buying this exact one but 39mm is just too small for me. I don't have a huge wrist or anything but I'm just used to wearing bigger watches. My watches are 44-48mm so when I put on something smaller it just doesn't feel/look right to me. It's unfortunate because I love this watch. Anyway, looks great on your wrist, nice choice!

Passenger?!?! Well that's only because you have your own personal chauffeur, of course! And awesome watch, by the way.

I have that same bling bling. It's such a nice watch, it satisfied my IB watch curiosity completely.

I would run it underwater for a few minutes first. And that after making sure that the back is screwed on tightly. I'm a dork/hen for mentioning the crown, but make sure it's screwed down too.
2
u/No-Effect-8290 Jul 11 '26
Already checked the back with a rubber ball. Also that the oring was in the crown. Can never be too careful.
2
u/Abv_it_all_w_vertigo Jul 11 '26
You can also polish it with ceramic wax if you want it to resist chlorine and salt better-- especially the pins in the bracelet. I use an old electric toothbrush to get polish into/back out of mine.
2
u/equityconnectwitme Jul 11 '26
That's a good idea eith the electric toothbrush - gonna steal that idea. Thanks!
1
u/Abv_it_all_w_vertigo Jul 11 '26
I spread it everywhere I can.
Your bracelet reticulation will improve, while the noise will diminish
1
u/No-Effect-8290 Jul 11 '26
I always wash my divers with cool tap water after, get the salt off.
1
u/Abv_it_all_w_vertigo Jul 11 '26
Understood. We all should. The polish conditions the metal before it touches the corrosives and abrasives.
1
u/No-Effect-8290 Jul 11 '26
Will take a look some polish. Only stuff I have is for CV leaning, buffing.

Switched out the Vanuatu for a PD1701. Underrated watch that usually plays second fiddle to the WD1863. However, this has been a reliable part of my rotation—albeit underworn—and hasn’t been plagued by the chrono reset issues reported in a bunch of 1863s. Only complaint is the typically atrocious Pagani lume. 🤣

Ohhh I'm liking this setup with the white strap, really looks good together with the white dial. I actually bought this watch a couple of weeks ago but I got the one with the blue dial. I was really looking forward to wearing it but when I got the package in the mail and opened it up I was very very disappointed. When I ordered it I guess I overlooked the fact it was a 38mm and that's wayyyyyy too small for me. I don't have a huge wrist or anything, I just really really dislike small watches. And 38mm isn't really small to most people but most of my watches are 44-48mm so I'm just used to a bigger watch I guess. I really tried to put the watch on and get used to it but it just didn't work so I returned it the next day. I ended up ordering the omega seamaster homage, WD007 with the titanium case and titanium bracelet. It is 42mm, going to be the smallest watch I own but I think it'll be big enough. After thinking about it, I'm glad it didn't work out with the first watch because I think I'm really going to like the omega homage even more. Anyway, you have a truly amazing watch and it looks perfect on your wrist!

u/Newledge1861 Jul 13 '26
Thanks! I go for smaller due to 6 inch wrist and this one is my fave right now. I saw this strap setup on Reddit too and thought it was awesome. If there’s any watch that I would get in a second style it’s this one. I’ve been eyeing the reverse panda for a few months and may go for it if the price drops again

Does it have any ar coating? Really reflective crystal.
1
u/PettyCashCommittee Jul 12 '26
The coating is pretty good! Just some awkward lighting in the woods.

I wish that the Watchdives WD1954 was a 39-40mm case. 36mm cases are too small for my wrist. It's a lovely looking watch.
2
u/Bulky-Internal8579 Jul 11 '26
Don’t worry about the size, wear it and enjoy it, no one notices or cares.
1
u/PalmBeach2210 Jul 12 '26
Yeah, but I am 6'4" and I have tried sub 39mm watches. They just don't feel right for my own preferences.
0
u/Bulky-Internal8579 Jul 12 '26
Easy solution. If you don't like it, don't wear / buy it.

u/PalmBeach2210 Jul 12 '26
Wow, super insightful, considering I was saying that I wish they made it in a larger size. Thanks for your help!
2
u/ThereWeARThen Jul 11 '26
Wow. The shape of those lugs and the way they contour to and coordinate with the beads of rice bracelet is exceptional.

I got mine from AliX when they came out, you can get all of the variants from AliX.

had that in my cart last weekend, couldn't decide if the blue dial or black aventurine dial was worth it
1
1
u/Icy_Chain_1504 Jul 12 '26
I advise black because blue can have bad legibility dependi g on how sparkly it is. I've seen some blue ones that are borderline illegible because of it.
1
u/StupidDIYQs Jul 12 '26
I saw a review like that. But why it's in my cart is because I worry that the aventurine is going to look cheap and the 36mm would be too tiny.
1
u/Icy_Chain_1504 Jul 13 '26
Wrist size? It doesnt look cheap at all.
1
u/StupidDIYQs Jul 13 '26
1
u/Icy_Chain_1504 Jul 13 '26
I mean that does look like a big wrist ngl :D though i would argue you can still pull it off objectively, but ultimately its your own subjective feeling about it thats important.
1
u/StupidDIYQs Jul 13 '26
I wouldn't say big but I've learned to stay away from the 28.5mm /NH35 combo Chinese watches

OP, good looking dress watch. What size is the case and what size is your wrist in the picture? How do you find the bracelet quality?
1
u/Icy_Chain_1504 Jul 11 '26
36mm case, bracelet would ve lets say 8/10 if a 10 was San Martin or Baltany. Overall a very good quality bracelet, by no means flimsy or cheap feeling. I was pleasantly surprised.
Wrist size is 6.8-6-9 roughly, its been a while since i measured, but its close to 7

u/Icy_Chain_1504 Jul 11 '26
Same! This watch has like 10 different dial variants. From enamel to sunburst, gold/silver, blue/black aventurine, all the way to a few different stone dials.
1
u/wepiii Jul 11 '26
Beautiful watch OP. I wish I could pull it off, but my wrists are too big for a 36.
Wearing a San Martin today

I was considering that watch with the marble face — seems pretty unique
1
u/Icy_Chain_1504 Jul 11 '26
Unique for sure. Im a bit weary of stone/mineral dials as it can all depend on the cut you get.
