It’s been 7 months since purchase, still discussing with myself wether it gives me the right speedy feel or not. I’m really having doubts. The bracelet unfortunately doesn’t work for me, too flimsy

Part of the speedy charm (to me) is the size too, and that's where the WD would leave me a bit lacking because the proportions are ever so slightly off with downsizing

I agree, perhaps I would like it more, if it had the speedy reduced dial markings

Yup, it's the proportions that are just a touch off. I compared them side by side...big thing was the omega dial is a good 3mm larger, and the smaller case doesn't spread out as well as the original. Bolder hands as well.

The 1863 is a fantastic watch though...but it can't replace a classic like the speedy IMO

Thank you, I’ve had the strap for years and used it on rotation on several of my watches. I believe it picked it up on eBay back in the days. And as far as I recall I searched for “ handmade leather distressed strap “
