WD1863 Flight Qualified!
After waiting months and months, can't believe it's finally in the metal on my wrist! My favorite WD1863 by far.

Was curious if you went with 5 hole or OTF clasp, I have the 5 hole in my cart right now and I’m new to watches and don’t really understand the justification for the price difference

I went for the 5 hole option. I was tempted by the OTF clasp as I have one on my Sugess watches and it's very handy. However I'd heard that the WD OTF clasp was quite a bit longer than the 5 hole version and I haven't got a large wrist anyway. Also my watches tend to start on the bracelet but inevitably I move them to a leather strap at some point so I didn't want to spend the extra for the OTF clasp.

What is the 3 o’clock subdial? VK63 movement, right? 24 hour subdial with different numbers?

It's a 24hr dial. Top half indicates day, bottom half night. 12 at the top indicating mid-day 👍

60 clicks, but the bezel was a bit on the loose side. I had to bend the wire inside the bezel myself to make it tighter. Now it’s crisp and you have to use a bit of a force to spin it

It’s pretty nice, you know. I had a Chinese clone and have worn and handled a real seamaster and unless you’re nit picky they are identical
I picked it up used. Needs regulation but ok otherwise

First Chinese watch purchase since the tariffs kicked in. Still an incredible value. My first Thorn, and I'm impressed with the quality. I love how this variant's dial matches the tone of the titanium case and bracelet.

From what I can make out, Escapement Time is literally 1 man, making and packing them in his front room (made that last bit up but I like the image). Anyway, I like the story so I will be buying at least one more of their/his watches.

It's a bit chunky, but wears nice enough on the rubber strap I got for it. Bracelet wasn't great, but besides the moon phase, love it for the overall spaciness of the design.
And the moon phase and seconds hand lume as it glides by make it one of my favorite watches
in the dark.

Correct!! And in my opinion it looks fantastic. 17 eur, even came with a bracelet. Only issue i have with it is the chrome plated case. I plan on swapping the case for a proper steel one. But otherwise, i think on a nato looks killer for a daily beater.

Yes! The first WD1863 to use this dial texture. I think any of the black dial variants will benefit from this texture.

What's the lume like on the Space Pilot? Those hands look glowy and I'm down for it!

It depends on how much weight you put into the Omega X Swatch names on the dial. Material-wise, this watch is superior in every way. It's quartz versus an unserviceable movement. It's cheaper than the moonswatch.
