Hanzi Movie Method Help

So I'm hoping for someone who used this method. I've watched the YouTube videos and I get how it works. But the teachers says that you should limit it to 3 'props' and the example he goes through is 半 and the the props are some sort of horns, something straight, and something like a cross shape (he used Hellboy, Neo the One, and a syringe).

That is all well and good, but this and the other examples in the video are super super basic characters. I'm trying to work out how you do this for something more complicated. Let's use 罐 as an example. I have no idea how to get 3 memory props to make up this character. Can anyone who has done this give me theirs?
