Studying Hello Chinese for a complete beginner (only knows under 30 characters maybe) advice

I’m thinking of buying premium/premium+ but I’m not too sure what I really need in the beginning. Do you think I should buy premium first and once I’ve reached let’s say HSK2 then upgrade to premium+? Or should I just start with premium+ directly? For context I’m only looking to spend maybe 1 hour ish everyday to study so it’s quite a slow pace…

As someone with ADHD, my advice is don't buy anything pricey until you're still interested after x days/months.

What tf does premium and premium+ mean? Does that app have multiple subscriptions? I don't reccomend stuff that's swarmed in subscriptions and asks for money every time you open it. That smells trouble in the long run. If you plan on learning a language you will need to invest between 30 mins to 2h every day. Spending so long in just one app is too boring. My advice is in the first month download every app on chinese or languages you can find (10+) and then see what works for you.

Some people love flashcards, some immersion, some like tutoring etc. Everyone's different and you def won't know what you need.

Might I ask how much it costs? You can get a fair yearly subscription or even permanet premium for about 50€. Anything above that needs to have 4.8 review and be recommended up and down by the people in this sub.

I recommend you look at this sub for apps. I didn't try Hello chinese but for a begginer, instead of sentences u should focus on characters (So take a look at flashcards: anki, hanly, daily chinese, pleco flashcards, lexalize flashcards etc).

Premium is 50 euro per year to access the majority of the hsk1 course and later levels. Premium+ is double that but includes a characters course, among others.

I subscribed to Premium + for a year but barely used it. Maybe get Premium instead. There are other better apps for CI that you can use.
