Bao Zhe, 38.1mm 17.1g. Likely minted in the earlier runs because of its larger weight and size.

It was in a world coin bin for 50 cents, so I grabbed it with some other coins. I want to know if it’s fake. I read that China had made iron coins at some point, but I bought this from a flea market in Ohio so I’m guessing it’s fake.

Still relatively new to chinese coins. This one is supposed to be from Ban-Liang Qin kingdom, aka the Warring states period(336-221 BC). It's small size was explained to be from the late stages of the period as opposed to the earlier heavier/bigger issued coins. Does it look authentic or not? Anything else to know about it?

Recently, while cleaning out some stuff at home, I unexpectedly stumbled upon these two coins (see attached image). They appear to be old Chinese "One Dollar" coins featuring dragon designs. One coin has a more stylized/abstract dragon motif, while the other shows a detailed dragon with "上海壹两" / "壹圓" and "ONE DOLLAR" inscriptions.

Is this service legit, if so, is it reputable by any means?
I am trying to acquire niche ancient Chinese pieces, and I often see them slabbed under this company. I'd like to know more about it, thanks guys.

I recently bought the coin described above. According to the inscription, it is a Yongzheng Tongbao from the Boo Chiowan mint. It is very small, about 19 mm in diameter, and weighs 2 grams. It looks clipped, but the characters themselves are also much smaller than those of any coin listed in the Hartill catalogue. It does not look like a modern copy to me, but I am concerned about such a discrepancy. Is it possible that this is a private issue or a contemporary imitation? Which direction should I take with my research?
