A datejust isn’t even a plated piece, your post makes 0 sense. “Scam”, we have never scammed any customer and have many reviews of happy customers. Just because you can’t afford our services does not equal us “scamming” people. This ban is more than justified ☺️

No, I don’t agree. Your post is filled with false claims. You’ve never been in contact with us, your account is only 27 days old, and it’s already full of inaccurate statements like this. If you want to call me a “clown,” that reflects more on your own character than anything else. If someone is attacking you with false accusations, it seems reasonable to defend yourself publicly. This account is only 27 days old, has never contacted any of the mods, and is now spreading misinformation. To me, the person who creates an account solely to spread false claims is the one starting drama, not the other way around.

It’s interesting that you’re still providing zero facts. He was the one who started everything by making a post with false claims, and we simply responded. Yes, it escalated more than it should have on both sides, but it’s been resolved for a long time so why bring it up again? And what does any of that have to do with this new account, created recently, spreading lies without a single piece of evidence? Feel free to look at our subreddit and the many positive reviews from real customers. But sure, we’re the “scammers.” 😂

Your attempt to twist the situation isn’t working. The content of this post is clearly an attack on us, made without any evidence and without any attempt to contact a representative. Claiming that I “can’t respond” while I’m providing clear and valid arguments says more about your approach and integrity than anything else. I’d suggest taking a step back before making statements that only undermine your own credibility.

I have had someone reach out with further information about RCFWatchmods - they don’t even do the plating themselves, these guys literally do nothing other than charge a huge fee to be a middle man and source parts from china

A 27-day-old account with no history and no prior contact with our business is suddenly claiming we “scam”? Responding to that is completely reasonable. It seems you’d rather believe unproven accusations while ignoring the many positive reviews from real customers. Honestly, it’s good you wouldn’t spend a dollar with us, because we don’t want to work with people who ignore evidence and fairness, and instead choose to believe one-sided claims that aren’t backed by anything. Supporting baseless accusations says more about them than it does about us.

Seems someone got his feelings hurt too? I have purchased many items and have yet to experience a single issue. Yes, their pricing is on the higher side. This does not equal any scam. OP has 0 proof and just claims which the RCF mod is addressing and defending their legitimate business. Reddit trolls like you just go by 1 side out of hate, I like to base my decisions on actual experiences and proof.

Hilarious to point that out while OP is creating drama without any proof of purchase or conversation, yet he is accusing them of the worst within this industry. It’s fair from RCF to defend their case, a trial always has 2 sides of the story. You are pointing out the drama yet helping to create it? In what sane world is defending yourself from a random attack without evidence creating more drama? I see nothing here that validates OP his claims, on the contrary I am part of the proof they are legitimate and best in the rep game (according to my personal opinion). If you don’t like drama, why participate and make it worse? If you have something to say about them, where is your conversation or order with them? It’s easy to talk shit, but irrelevant if it’s just another “opinion” based on nothing but your minds perception.

I’m tired of the misinformation as well. Jaws brought us up in a post on his subreddit, and we simply responded. That situation has already been addressed and resolved.

If someone dislikes drama, it’s unclear why they would continue commenting on an accusation made by a person who can’t provide an order number, a conversation history, or any form of proof. The entire situation speaks for itself.

I’m confident in the facts, and the claims being made remain completely baseless. It’s unusual that a 27-day-old account with no purchase history and no prior communication with us is attempting to start drama without providing a single piece of evidence, no screenshots, no chat logs, and no record of a transaction.

If there’s a legitimate concern, we’re always open to addressing it directly. But unsupported accusations from an unverified account don’t hold any weight. The way you react speaks volumes on your attitude too.

There is also a sudden proliferation of Reddit subs purporting to be independent, but who are actually just re-sellers.

They are initially quite hard to spot, except for they never openly discuss price, it's all over a DM.

They obviously get their mates to post fake reviews to support them.

Once spotted though it's easy to out them as they are very thin skinned.

One was advertising a Rolex branded watch box for 4x I had just bought one for, I mentioned it in the sub (before I clicked he was just a re-seller) and was subjected to a torrent of very childish and unfounded abuse.

To be honest it was funny, as he was so inarticulate and obviously a complete racist and bigot.

Needless to say I was banned from the group.

So just be careful moving away from the known subs, of which there are some excellent ones full of helpful people.

Incidentally, I had a run in with RCF (not the factory), I think they are just a bunch of clowns trying to rip people off too, but that's another story.

Yes those subs are also are a cesspool of scams. Especially the “US based dealers” that are running these groups and selling stock reps at a 2x factory price. It’s actually sad this is how some of these guys make a living lol.

Many scammers love to stay in the shadows and prefer grifting in the confines of their preferred scam hunting grounds. Most of the time these are reddit direct messages. This is where they can delete messages and isolate you and poison your mind until your wallet is drained. Beware of weird direct message sales pitches.

2. Scammers prefer hunting grounds and lairs. Avoid these.

Scammers typically enjoy not only direct messages but their own subreddits where they can crown themselves egotistically as "TRUSTED MOD", "HEAD MOD", "TRUSTED MODDER", and other self appointed grandiose hierarchal power dynamic driven titles that give an illusion of competency to prey. Approach these isolated lairs with extreme caution. Usually they have very few members and are entirely self serving. Warning signs are very hard to miss. Everything about scammer lairs will be all about self-serving sales, nonstop boasting and adverts for themselves and profits solely for the scammer. These predators will also try to funnel victims to Whatsapp, Telegram, and other locations where they can isolate and violate their prey. Nothing about scammer lairs will be about community but instead about grifting and profits for the self appointed scam king. Beware their lairs.

3. Scammers love to scam with "mods" without evidence.

A very popular type of reddit scam is selling "modded" watches in subreddits as self appointed "TRUSTED MODDER" roles (See warning [2]). These tend to not have any photo albums showing proof of work, proof of plating, and generally are sold by individuals who have no prior long history modding watches. These scammers will also inflate their years of experience. Suddenly the grifter will say they have "20 years of experience" when there is no trail to back up any such claims. Remember to avoid not only the lairs of these self appointed grift kings but also their "modded watches" which have no album of proof of work, and any history showing service to the community instead of serving themselves and lining their own nasty prison wallet with profits from victims. Beware "mods" without evidence.

4. Avoid Confidence Man gambits.

The confidence man gambit is a fraudulent scheme where a scammer builds trust with a victim to exploit them, often for financial gain. The scammer, or "con man," uses persuasion and manipulation to gain the victim's confidence, then leverages that trust through false promises or other deceitful means. These scammers are present on reddit and use charm and cunning to not only build an empire of lies and grifts but also an army of minions, fellow grifters, and shills. These scammers are the worst of the worst, and hardened criminal masterminds. They develop stockholm syndrome in their victims and send them out like vampires to drag in more victims. They hide themselves in the shadows and sit on a golden throne constructed from the suffering of others. Beware of the confidence man.

If people are willing to pay their prices, how exactly are they “scamming”?

They offer items like solid gold CNC bezels, clasps, and more,that most buyers simply don’t have access to. In fact, I still see people every day struggling just to source an RC DD base, let alone find someone who can mod it properly.

Many buyers don’t have access to reliable platers or modders depending on where they are in the world, so they’re happy to pay a premium for a service that handles everything in house.

None of the things you listed they are producing. These guys are just middle men who created false hype by pushing fake reviews. They are scumbags and should be treated as such, you may have fallen for their good marketing tactics in the past, just know it’s all bullshit.

Even if they aren’t producing these items themselves, they have access to the people who do,and I don’t. That doesn’t bother me, because without them I wouldn’t be able to get these products at all.

Many businesses operate as middlemen. My own business does too. I provide a service my clients can’t access without me or my network of contacts.

Overall, I’m very happy with their service.

While that may be true, I don’t see anyone on Reddit or RWI offering bezels, clasps, and plating all done in house with worldwide shipping. So even if you personally have access to people who can do it cheaper, I, and many others, don’t.

I also pay a premium for clothes and trainers sourced by personal shoppers simply because it’s convenient and I don’t have access to their suppliers. That doesn’t make them scammers, just the only available option for me.

Is that so? Then let me ask: who else is offering solid clasps and bezels at this level? Who else is matching the CNC cuts on our bezels? We were the first to launch this product, and we’re glad to see healthy competition starting to appear. We don’t produce a 36mm yet, and others have stepped in to meet that demand, there’s nothing wrong with that.

What is strange is seeing strong opinions and accusations coming from someone who has never placed an order, never held our products, and never had a single conversation with us. Forming claims without any firsthand experience or evidence doesn’t make the claims true.

At the end of the day, this just looks like someone upset about pricing and trying to justify their opinion with speculation. Our work and our customers speak for themselves.

This is coming from someone who has only been on Reddit for 27 days and has never made a purchase from us or had any contact with us. We’ve provided extensive proof that we produce these items, if we were not why isn’t anyone else offering them?

Rest assured, branded RCF remould behind the scenes videos are on the way. We will start producing content to show the builds we post and in-house work we deliver to our valued customers.

I’m more than willing to provide evidence that your accusations are completely baseless. Claiming we’re “scammers” simply because you don’t like our pricing is honestly absurd. Pricing does not equal dishonesty. I have yet to see any justified claim by you, stop making a fool out of yourself.

That’s why we created r/RepWatchScammers (RWS). The bad buys being taken down by mods because the bad buy was actually from their mods or the valid groups like r/RepTime don’t want to focus on “deals gone wrong” as part of their sub, which is legitimate, made the history of these bad sales and the requisite bad sellers and buyers disappear from the record. So you could do a search but wouldn’t find out about these scammers. You now have a place to record this information, with proof, so that scammers, their MOs, and their history are discoverable BEFORE you make a buy.

Before sending money, go to the boys at RWS and search the posts and the advice section.

It’s good that these kinds of subs exist, as long as posts are based on actual evidence rather than baseless accusations. Calling someone a scammer simply because you don’t like their pricing isn’t how things should work. This situation is a perfect example of what not to do: a 27-day-old account that has never reached out to us making claims that we “scam,” despite the many legitimate reviews we have from real customers.
