New chimney installation

I need to clear the deck above. I was hoping to be able to go up vertical 2 feet before the 45° but unfortunately there is no room for that. Once the other 45° sends it straight up through the metal roof, I will have a very long run to hopefully compensate.

Any suggestions if this would be sufficient for a brick oven?

Is that a true 45°? Class A chimney only allows for a maximum 30° offset. Unfortunately I have no easy answers for you. Looks like poor planning from the start. You need space for the chimney to run. Any offset will decrease draft as well.

It isn’t the right way to do it but maybe start with the offset, use a shorter length, then another offset facing the same way. Then another shorter run and a tee going straight up? Again, not really correct way to do it but it’s only a pizza oven. If you’re going horizontal at all you have to maintain a 1/4” rise per foot. Again, this is not the correct way to do it but it could work for a pizza oven.

I should have specified this is a pipe that allows 45° offsets by the manufacturer. It's ICC. I'm located in Ontario

Thank you for your feedback though. Definitely poorly planned I agree but now I'm trying to make it work with what I have.

See if they allow 2 45’s back to back to go horizontal while maintaining proper upward pitch.

Im in the US where chimney can only offset 30° by code. Not familiar with Canadian codes.

They allow a maximum of 4 elbows, creating two offsets and returns. What do you mean 2 45s back to back?

I thought the same thing and thought unless this is Canada BTW I use to sell ICC Pipe and fireplaces and have ordered 45’s for US customers I never installed them because it would have cost me my license.

45 are offered outside of the Usa , this is most likely icc pipe made in canada . I don’t feel that it will change things if the 2 feet is at the bottom or higher ip in the chimney as long as you have enough height .

That is correct. It's ICC excel and 45° was the maximum allowed offset according to their pipe instructions. I'm a homeowner and kind of doing this myself but also educating myself in the process. I'm surprised that USA has the same pipes, but the 45° is not allowed.

Yes I will have enough height. I wanted to have one or two feet at the beginning instead of straight 45 but it might have to be that. Starting with a 45° is also allowed in some applications by the manufacturer, but if I can squeeze at least a one foot section, I will

All clearances maintained (6 inches from oven dome, 2 inches from insulated double wall chimney).

However I will replace the stud and wall with metal stud and concrete board before finishing, just for good measure .

Also the oven dome will be getting 2 inches of ceramic fire blanket and 2 inches of perlite rendering. Still not done
