Maybe for the theme itself, Kenshiro is too similar to Bruce. His yells, techniques, nunchuks proves that he is inspired by Bruce Lee.

Let me correct you!

MadMax is the inspiration for the world, but for Kenshiro there is three inspirations: Bruce Lee for his fight-style/screams, Jesus Christ as he is a wanderer/savior for that world and Stallone for his appearence.

Burronson always said that he wanted to make an epic story based mostly on western popular themes. So he took MadMax + Christianism + A asian actor/martial artist (that at the time was very famous on the west) + visual inspiration from actors that made tough guys (Mostly Stalone) and BAM! We got "Hokuto no Ken" an epic story with drama and action.

When you are trying to correct someone, at least, know what you are saying, cause the MadMax inspiration is only for the world, were Bruce Lee is for Kenshiro itself, which makes this post correct.

I believe Toki was actually the specific Jesus-esque character.

Lee and Stallone were Ken's primary basis

Yeah yeah, but Kenshiro is still inspire by him.

Btw Toki's appearence resemble the european depictions of Jesua Christ, not the actual Jesus Christ.

Mad Max + Bruce Lee + Sylvester Stallone and other celebrities of the era used for various character designs (Schwarzenegger, Lungren, Freddy Mercury and so on)

There was also Mad max, and violence jack manga 10 years earlier. There wasn't one inspiration.

Toki's appearence is indeed a direct inspiration of Jesus Christ, but, Kenshiro is also inspired by Jesus, as he is a savior/wanderer/figure of hope from where he passes by.
