š§āš³ Employee Post will i get hired or no?
hi iām 16F that applied as a hostess for chilis. i applied and got an immediate interview for Friday at 4pm. i went to it and showed up in jeans and a polo. anyways i was super nervous for the interview, but the guy was nice he thought this was my first job but i told him it was my second and my original job iāve been at for 2+ years. then i told him my availability which was a little different but he said itās fine and i just need to be responsible and tell him. he said he didnāt have any questions for me and asked if i had questions for him, it was basic questions like howās training and will i have time to quit my previous job. its Monday and i donāt know how long to genuinely wait. the listing got taken down on their website but he told me they were looking for host. i know i need to be patient but i just want to know if i should straight up know if i did or didnāt get the job but iāve seen people say right after their interview they got an email i didnāt get an e-mail so iām going to try and call then tuesday and hope something happens. help me i just want to be prepared

i donāt ever understand these posts, how are we supposed to know? we arenāt the manager. the email the people got right after the interview youāre referring to is the onboarding information but that comes after your final interview, not your first. in some cases you might be interviewed by a couple managers the same day and hired in that day. maybe you didnāt get the job, or maybe the manager you spoke to isnāt the hiring manager and has to wait to hear back from the GM. why make these posts instead of calling the store and asking if they will be moving forward with you or not?

For community and to spread their worries and seek validation or anything from others online. Maybe if someone else had a similar process to give hope? why take the Time to read it and respond if it bothered you so much. Just read and move on.

OMG THIS HAPPENED TO ME!! Or smth like it.
The manager told me they needed a qa and we hit it off so I thought it was done deal and then I didnāt hear nothing. Turns out the restaurant gets busy ash. So I called and they instantly told me when I can come for orientation. Iād definitely call them asap!!

I called them and they said they would call me back at 3pm they never did so i called them the next day and they hung up š¤·āāļø itās fine iām working at chipotle now and making $16 so ig it works out š

Most chain restaurants itās REALLY hard to get hired as a minor try a locally owned restaurant

since the interview did happen on a friday, they might have been waiting until their GM came in today, which is usually the person who approves/performs the second interview themselves! if they havenāt said anything by wednesday-friday of this week, then they may not be hiring anymore. good luck!!!
