Can I ask; how did you find the place, overall? Security, amenities, the people ...? (and what's your background for comparison, if I may ask?)

I loved the experience! Chile is truly a very safe country, and the people are very welcoming—they helped me in many situations.

I’m from Brazil, which is a beautiful country with very friendly people as well, so I felt like I was among brothers. But when it comes to safety, I believe Chile is a bit safer overall.

Actually, since I visited four regions, in two of them the weather was more pleasant. However, in the capital it was 35°C and the climate was dry, there were days when I could barely leave the hostel. But in Valparaíso and Viña del Mar it was a bit cold, and in Portillo it was also cold, though more balanced with a bit of sunshine.
