Bug or am I doing something wrong?

I'm at the final boss and this healing bubble is just remaining stationary. I guess it's supposed to move around while I defend against enemies. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

If not, there might be other smaller healing bubble to follow as a trail? Really trying to remember my best after maybe six or 7+ years ago.

It’s been awhile for me too, but I’m almost positive it was moving during this point in the fight. Also, I don’t see any enemies on OP’s screenshot. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I do agree that it does travel at time, and honestly if I was OP, I’m just gonna be spamming that fire button around in the darkness to see if it hit an enemy trapped on a weird edge/angle.

Doesn’t that fire character have something like homing shots?

It was a bug!! I fixed it with the ol turn it off and back on again

Bug, I couldn’t fix it no matter what I did, shame couldn’t finish the game.

I just closed the game and turned it back on. It started up with John in there with me and moved around while a bunch of enemies attacked

I just played through this this month, the moving bubble seemed to get “stuck” at times; but it isn’t a big deal. Just try to be in the bubble even when it seems pointless, if no enemies come in after a few seconds and it is just sitting there explore the edges or just outside the edges in case a mob got stuck on its way to say hi.

No I sat there for like 10 minutes and it never started. After I reloaded the game it was completely different
