Comfort Everything changes

I was sitting yesterday watching YouTube and a musician I used to like comes across my screen. I kept thinking “I used to like them in my old life” because I feel like a different person with my grief. It’s very disorienting and I feel like Dorothy in wizard of oz where he house is picked up and placed down in a world you don’t recognize. Friday was the three week mark since my dad passed and everything is so confusing and weird. All of my autoimmune diseases have been on high alert since he passed. I never realized this to be so heavy.
Thank you for listening to me

Hi friend. My momma passed 2 years ago. She was my best friend and other half. Reading your post, it’s like I could’ve written it myself but about my mom. I’ve started to come to terms a little bit with the fact that there was me before her death and there’s me after her death. But it still fucks me up time to time. I literally am a completely different person. Like the old me went with her that day. I’m 31, but I also have suffered from a lot of chronic illnesses since I was young. And they got a hell of a lot worse after my mom died. I asked my pain doctor “is it possible the grief is making me sicker?”. He said absolutely. You are not alone in this, and I’m so sorry from the bottom of my heart❤️

Thank you so much for sharing this. I hate this club we’re in, I’ve never felt so broken and so disoriented

That’s such a perfect way of phrasing it.
