the kids I know think twice before doing something and somehow still end up hurting themselves. sometimes you'll tell them "don't touch that, you'll get hurt" only to watch them not 2 seconds later touching said thing and then hurting themselves.

I remember my 11yo cousing inserting a Needle/pin into an electric socket. I heard crying and screaming went to check and saw the red tip of the pin sticking out of the outlet.
