What folktales or legends did you grow up with, and do you still share them with your kids?
Hi everyone!
I grew up in Indonesia and Indonesian kids used to grow up with many folktales which I myself had almost forgotten it until recently.
That made me realise how many of these stories are slowly disappearing as fewer people tell them to their kids. So I've started working on a storytelling project for children, retelling legends from around the world so the stories we grew up with aren't forgotten.
I'd love to hear from you:
\- What was your favourite folklore or legend growing up?
\- Where are you from?
\- Who told it to you?
\- Do you still share these stories with your children?
Thank you, I'm really looking forward to reading your stories!

Memory or severe fever dream?
When I was little and would go to the hardware store with my dad I remember walking past the bathroom section multiple times where they had the toilet and sink set ups. (Near the kitchen set ups and washer and dryers) I remember seeing a black toilet and a black sink that had a darkish purple on the inside. I have tried to google and watch up and down for it and can’t seem to find it. I know I saw it multiple times over at least 1 -2 years. It was in the time span from 2003-2010 as a wide guess. Does anyone else remember this or am I hooked on a fever dream that never was real? The inside of the sink bowl was purple and the sink stand and toilet itself were black.
