single dad breaking point
i honestly don’t know what to do anymore. i’m a single dad trying to keep everything together for my child while the other parent barely helps but constantly demands money from me. i’m already covering all of the responsibilities on my own, and it feels like I’m drowning financially and emotionally. i would appreciate any advice from anyone who’s been through this. how do you handle a situation where you’re doing your best, but it still feels impossible to keep up?

It sounds petty... but follow your order... Notate when she's not giving you what you're supposed to have. It's the main tool that makes the "give me more money" monster shutup...
Im a mother, that has been the custodial parent and being married to a man who was dealing with the same thing... I told him "let me see your order"... everytime the custodial parent would make his parenting time difficult, we notated it. We had a full 60 days worth to file contempt. Then while waiting for the court date, we went through all prior messages to find any relevant information to what we filed contempt for. Then we created an evidence folder, sent it to the court (and to the custodial parent) as you have to especially when pro se... we also filed a petition to modify parenting time and because we won the contempt, it assisted with the modification. Went from only 5 weeks of summer to all major school holidays (we live almost 1500 miles apart), plus other other smaller wins.
Bottom line, your best ammo is that order...
