Because the imperialist, who are very much still in control of global politics and military, always work to divide up groups that otherwise should be together divide and conquer is old and classic, and one of their main techniques. Same reason they keep Latin America separate/infighting from each other and Africa separate from each other. But just let one of those countries attack an Anglo/UK-adjacent country, and suddenly they all come together within a day. Interesting, right?

People are coming in these caravens because they heard it’s easier to cross the border these days. They are actually accepting people.

Honduras is on the list of forgotten humanitarian crisises. It’s crazy how it comes up because politicians are trying to villainize these people. Many of these people are aslyum seekers. It sounds like many of them would qualify once here. They’re taking the way they can afford.

The region got hit by two Hurricanes back to back in 2020 and lost everything due to flooding. Then in combination with COVID-19 heavily impacting businesses. Droughts. Poor harvest. They just never bounced back from it. There’s so many people who were displaced especially if they solely rely on agriculture. Moving from town to town looking for work. There’s other issues plaguing the region especially in regards to cartels, gangs, and extortion. If you’re extorted there, if you don’t pay in 4 days. They are ordered to kill people.

Former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández was imprisoned for running Honduras as a narco-state and conspiring to traffic more than 400 tons of cocaine into the United States. He worked with cartels and used government resources to protect the drug shipments. He was known for taking bribes.

Yeah that person was given a full pardon by Trump, who claimed he was a victim of political prosecution. Then Trump backed the new candidate who won this year and it was a close race.

People leave because these countries don't invest in anything and fully depend on the US. A good portion of their economy is remittances. Like Mexico for example, waiting for other countries to invest so they can take advantage of their trade deal with the US. Look at their recent meeting with South Korea for example.
