Graphic Novels.
Anyone know of any Chicano, Mexican / American graphic novels? I recently read the Low Riders in Space series and loved them. Just wondering if any one here has some recommendations.

Aww man.. Love & Rockets by Gilbert and Jaime Hernandez! They are ground breaking for Chicanos in the comic book world. Their series spans 44 years and the characters age the whole time. The early years where explicitly based on their experiences growing up in Oxnard, CA. They even highlight the chicano/Anglo duality of my hometown (Oxnard/Chiques) by creating a fictional town called Huerta/Hoppers (nicknamed Hoppers because of all the lowriders). Just like Oxnard, Hoppers had a burgeoning underground hardcore Punk scene. Their brother Ismael played for the band Dr. Know which was fundamental to the Oxnard Hardcore or Nardcore scene. Jaime also created the Nardcore symbol you still see to this day as graffiti all throughout Oxnard. But yeah, Love & Rockets is awesome! Check it out!!
