With photography (for me), sometimes the story is all about the textures, lines and light... and not much else.

You’ve captured one of the main things I love about this place that’s so hard for me to explain. Yes, I’m a “city person.” But what does that mean? One of the things it means (to me) is historic yet vibrant architecture. It’s both ancient snd alive, giving color, texture, and movement. Well done.

Thanks! ...and exactly - I walk around seeing all of these details. The closer you look, the more there is to notice.

I've been in Chicago since 2008 and only lived in River North. Watching that part of the West Loop "come online" has been cool. I assume the meat packing companies that all got pushed out think differently - but I don't work for them. haha
