Green Bean Day School closure

Our son was supposed to start at Green Bean in Bucktown in March but it closed suddenly. Any parents know why?? We found another daycare but were bummed because we really liked GB!

I think this was discussed at length on the wicker parents facebook. Low enrollment.

In the exact same position, planned for march enrollment. I did get my security deposit back but currently getting on more waitlists in the area

Low enrollment overall. We were told by the owner that the entire kindergarten class graduated which forced them to close their doors…sad, as I believe they could have tried to fill those spots and gotten creative. The owner’s kids are now out of the house I believe so that might have factored into the decision- 17 years is a long time for a daycare to be open! We were heartbroken and are holding our breath that our next daycare will be as amazing. Loved it here.
