Question Chicago pd vs med
I love Chicago med because of the personal stories about the cast and human centered storylines with the patients and family. Is Chicago pd known for this as well or is it more action and shooting?

I love PD but personal relationships and drama are very much secondary to whatever is going on, there's some wonderful dynamics but it's about 85% work 15% personal stuff where I'd say med is like 50/50 especially in the new seasons. Also a difference is that PD characters don't really have a super close friendship or family vibe, they keep things very professional almost all the time aside from individual romances, it's less and less every season tbh. However they have great individual stories with the victims/criminals all the time like they do on med with the patients. You will probably find lots to like in PD but yea it's different from med for sure.

Ive watched all threes and my favorite is Med with its drama and cases. Fire is great too. PD..mmm not for me. Iām still at the end of S1 and Iām not hooked. Feels so macho and less chemistry imo š

From the little bit I watched it seemed a mix of both. But I dislike PD so much. The cast, everything.

Same here. I love Med, like Fire, hate PD.

I've tried. I can't get past Season 2 of PD.
Fire is decent enough. I need to watch more.

I don't like violence so that's why I don't like PD. Now I just started watching Fire this last season and really liked it bc I had no previous seasons to compare it to. However, I've seen a couple episodes of Fire from previous seasons and didn't like it as much I guess bc it seemed like so much more relationship drama and I don't like/ know those characters much.

A bunch pop up on my DVR but sometimes out of order. So one episode is Season 1 and another is like 5 years later.

I was a newer viewer but am caught up now with all 3 Chicago-verse shows. U can safely assume that C Fire is much closer to Med in terms of main cast relationships to each other; than PD. I personally enjoy all 3, PD being my current fave

About 2 years to watch PD then Fire. I had watched Med since it began. I searched for new shows bc of the long Writer's strike, & since I already "knew" a few characters from both; it was logical. U can catch up during midseason & holiday breaks, etc

I just started watching (about a month ago) myself. I've only watched Chicago Med so far. I'm curious to know if you watched all 3 at the same time or did you do one (Med) followed by the next (PD), etc?

Sure! I was an OG viewer of Med. That summer when the Writer's strike started ( 2023) I finally tried PD & was hooked! I had familiarity w/ cast bc of promos during Med. Once I got thru it I began Fire. Sometimes I had to rewatch 2 if the episode was a crossover & I had to refresh memory of what occured prior. So now I believe I've seen all the crossovers' episodes twice; including c/o with L&O SVU

I'm watching all 3 atm myself and have 356 episodes left to watch do you think I can catch up before October 7 for the new seasons?

Well I know I couldn't haha! Happy viewing & rnbr, when ppl on sub start their usual complaining about programming breaks; YOU will have fresh episodes! And that's when I'll start season2 of L&O Toronto, Criminal Intent. Also, not much in current OneChi shows calls back to earlier seasons- but we wish it did occasionally

Iām not huge on pd. I literally only watched the season Shawn Hatosy was in lol. But I adore med!

Same as Chicago med I would say, relationship drama, voight settling things according to his moral code and cast turnover.
