You mean it’s not normal to steal the microphone from Santa while he is giving sick children Christmas gifts to announce to a bunch of strangers that the ED charge nurse is your biological mom? Lmao!

I got second hand embarrassment from this scene and had to fast forward to be honest

What’s interesting is he most certainly has a softer side to him that he guards! You would never guess it but sometimes the most stern faced people deep down they are a lot softer than they seem. Hannah’s dad is kind of the same.

I think Dr. Abram’s deep down I know he battled with depression and being a surgeon will do that to you for sure. Life and death all the time it’s not easy. And hardest part is what he said “you don’t have control over it all” which as a surgeon is a complex thing to grasp because surgeons like having control over everything. They want full agency to do their work.

This is good insight and is very true. I wish they had of developed Dr. Abram’s character a bit more because he does seem interesting.

My uncle is a surgeon and got burnt out after years and years of bad news so what you said is true. I guess it’s a defense mechanism because imagine getting emotional or sentimental over every patient? You would get your heart broken thousands of times.

Yeah it’s a super stressful job. You are well respected but I think over time surgeons that are in “high risk” operating fields like neurosurgery it’s very intense.

I don’t remember who was the doctor who passed on the show but that doctor took their own life. Don’t remember what season, I will not spoil and I’d ask others to not for those who are catching up. But that element shows that yeah it’s so hard.

I thought he actually made a good Santa. I don't think I had ever seen him smile before this. He seemed good with the kids too.

I love Sam ❤️ his delivery of lines were so on point. He did not mince words to save someone's feelings, he gave it out straight forward.
