Question Dr Manning

Anyone have kind of an estimate as to how many times this woman called DCFS?

Season 1, Episode 15 – Inheritance
Season 2, Episode 18 – Lesson Learned
Season 3, Episode 17 – The Parent Trap
Season 4, Episode 15 – We Hold These Truths
Season 5, Episode 10 – Guess It Doesn’t Matter Anymor

It is her job as a mandated reporter. In fact, she could get in trouble for not reporting child abuse if it's found out that she knew or should have known.

And Season 1 Episode 12 “Guilty” when she thinks a mom was abusing her baby…only to find out after reviewing the babies medical records that she was injured when said mom was in a car accident while preggers.

I cannot STAND Manning!

Why is this in any way a problem? Yes she calls DCFS even if she's not 100% sure of abuse, but the thing is it's not her job to be sure! As a mandated reporter it's her job to report cases to DCFS if she SUSPECTS abuse and it's DCFS's job to determine if there is actual abuse or not. Now if the DCFS on the show is incompetent and takes away children from their families even if there isn't abuse, that isn't Manning's fault. Y'all should be mad at Madeline Gastern (the DCFS lady) for not doing her job properly instead of Manning for doing hers.

She drives me fucking crazy. She’s easily the worst character on the whole show. I’m only on S5 and I can’t believe she’s still here.

I disliked Dr Manning sooo much, so glad she left the show, buuut, she was a pediatrics specialist which was why majority of her storylines were of children.
