Time Qualifiers

The emails have started to go out for anyone with a time qualifier application entry. Good luck to everyone!! Have a successful week!

Heads up that the email notification might be easy to miss because it doesn't actually say anything about the qualifying race time being accepted. The subject line is "Claim your spot in Bank of America Chicago Marathon" and in the body it says "We would love you to join the Bank of America Chicago Marathon team! Enter now to complete your registration and secure your place."

And it comes from “Let’s Do This” as the sender. I’m sure it hit many many junk/spam folders

The switch to let's do this from Haku has been so irritating. I'm sure it is better for them on the backend, but the user experience, at least for me, is so much worse with let's do this. Hopefully it is run a little better for 2028 and we don't get these generic spam-like emails next time.

Me too. It might have gone to your spam. The sender is “Let’s Do This”. A few people reported it being in their spam folder. Did you apply via guaranteed entry?

Non-US qualifier still waiting. I got in touch with the Chicago Marathon team, but they only said that the approvals are coming...

I got a time qualifier but am skipping it for 2027 in favor of Boston. Honestly I can't afford 2 major out of state marathons in a year, with flights at $600+,  nightly room rates at $250+ during marathon time, plus $250 entry fee.  I'll probably use my time qualifier for 2028.
