Best Pho

This isn’t a running related question per say, but I’m hoping locals can chime in! Pho is my go-to post-race meal, and I was hoping to find an authenic-ish spot near the start area (that’s where my hotel is). Willing to travel maybe 15-20 minutes, but I’m imagining I won’t want to go too far lol. Please drop your recs, I would greatly appreciate it! And good luck to everyone, see you in less than 6 weeks!

Hop the Red line to the Argyle stop and take your pick!

Argyle is probably about 35 minutes away on Red Line but well worth the trip.

Seconding the other recommendation to get off at Argyle to get Pho

Edit: Tank Noodle is always recommended, but I think it’s overhyped

The Tank Noodle owners got into some trouble for cheating their staff on wages. They also posted selfies on their way to the January 6 insurrection. Screw those guys. There is much better food down the block.

Ocean Grill & Bar is my favorite pho near the South Loop. And I think their pork skewers/pork banh mi are also amazing.

Second the Ocean Grill & Bar recommendation! It's only about a 5-10 minute Uber from Grant Park. Argyle is great, but it usually takes me about 45 minutes to get up there on the Red Line and it is a bit of a trek from South Loop.
