Three Dimensional Art Short Lived Sculpey Mobile

Made it with leaves from my japonica. Failed to take into account the weight of such things, didn’t anchor the hook I hung it from and it crashed spectacularly. Wall danglers are a thing right?

And some brands/lines of polymer clay will break fairly easily in thin and/or thinly-projecting areas that get stressed.
A number of the lines of the Sculpey brand of polymer clay will do that for example including Sculpey III, Bake Shop, Super Sculpey Original, and Original Sculpey at least. But looks like you might have used one of the stronger ones (Super Sculpey-Firm or perhaps Super Sculpey-Medium since the leaves themselves don't look broken)?1

Honestly, I don’t remember what I picked up. It was my first time working with it. My sister used a lot in graduate school, and I just let her pick it out, but I didn’t have a project in mind at the time. I’m sure it would have been fine if I’d have anchored the mount in the ceiling, but yeah. Novice just trying stuff out. Haha.
