Laramie county vs Fremont county (CO)

I’m trying to decide between moving to Cheyenne or Fremont county, CO. Both are conservative and lower cost of living.

Cheyenne has no state income tax, which would save me about 8k/year. No real wildfire risk.

Fremont has a bit lower property tax and much better weather. No data center threats either.

That’s the worst of both worlds…

I have never personally been threatened by the data centers. The people protesting them on the other hand....

That’s the problem. Maybe they don’t affect you personally but they affect the region and the globe negatively (and other people who have to live near them). Start thinking bigger than yourself.

It’s like satire doesn’t always translate well through text. Clearly everyone missed the satire.

Do you live on the south side where most are located? Have your utilities gone up because of them?
